Mojo Monday #399

Good morning crafty friends and happy Saturday! Hope y'all are
having a great weekend so far! I was lucky over the past two days
to get to spend time with one of my sisters. Hailey has been
a waitress for a few years, and is also a horse trainer. She had some
free time and gave me some lessons! I've ridden a few of the
horses at her barn many years ago but I never had the pleasure of
getting a formal lesson! We had a lot of fun! I was also able to get in some
crafty time and made a card following the current Mojo Monday sketch.

Enabler's list:

Stamps: Verve - Joyful Blooms and Verve - Unto Us
Ink: CTMH outdoor denim and juniper

Viva la Verve May week 4

Good morning crafty friends! It is memorial day today which means if
there is any day you remember those that have died to keep our country free
that it is this day. A friend and mentor of mine was killed in action
on August 14th of 2011. 1Lt Damon Leehan served his country in the
Army National Guard. He was a family man that loved nothing
more than to talk about his wife and his young children. Damon was also
a Radiology Technologist when we wasn't serving his country. I can
honestly say that I would not have made it through my first two semesters
of radiology school if it were not for him. His contagious smile and
excessively optimistic outlook made me feel like I really could do this job.
He was always there to lend me a hand and to make sure I took
all the necessary x-rays that I needed to pass and helped me with the difficult
ones and afterwards said, see, that wasn't so bad, knew you could do it!
Heaven gained a great one that day, if you don't mind, please say a
quick prayer for his wife Audrey and their now 7 year old and 4 year old.

On a different note, I created this card last night whilst thinking of them.
I followed the May week 4 sketch from Viva la Verve. I am
also entering this card into the current challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Mojo Monday #398

Good morning crafty friends and happy weekend! Hope y'all are having
a great weekend so far! We are getting rain, rain, and more rain!
We can't take much more of this! Our lakes are closed for flooding and
some roads and bridges have washed out! This has been the wettest
spring I can remember! About 11 or so years back we had a summer with
over 40 straight days of rain, but it wasn't a constant torrential downpour so
things didn't flood like they have this spring. We plan to just mostly
stay inside since we can't do any outdoor activities. We may go to the movies.

Since it was raining last night, I took the time to get a little crafty.
I made a card following the current sketch from Mojo Monday. This one
had me thinking for a bit but when I checked out the designer's
cards, Wanda's stood out. I loved how she flipped the sketch on it's
side, so I decided to go for the same look! I love how it turned out!
I am also entering my card into the challenge at Scrap & Craft Inspiration
and the current challenge at Dragon Lair Designs.

Enabler's List:

Paper: CTMH - Blossom
Stamps: Verve - Poppy Birthday
Ink: CTMH - pear and Versamark

Mojo Monday #396

Good afternoon fellow crafty friends! Hope y'all are having a great
weekend! The storms here in central Oklahoma are turning
out to be not as severe as originally anticipated, luckily. I have no
problem with not having to hangout in the storm cellar this evening.
We have had some major flooding throughout the area but it
hasn't been bad in the area where we live. We are on higher ground.

Since I didn't have severe storms to worry about this morning I was
able to get some crafting in! I had been wanting to all week
but have been glued to the weather every night since Tuesday worrying
about darn Oklahoma springtime weather. For my first card I
have to share I followed the current sketch from Mojo Monday. I am
also entering this card into the current Verve Diva Inspirations Challenge
and the photo portion of the current Fusion Card Challenge.

Enabler's List:

Paper: Pebble's - Basics with CTMH white daisy and honey CS
Stamps: Verve - New Mercies, Verve - Joyful Blooms,
and Verve - Bloom and Grow

Party Time Tuesdays #197

Hello crafty friends! Hope y'all are having a great week so far!
We are having some scary weather this week here in
central Oklahoma. Unfortunately it won't end until Sunday either.
I wanted so much to craft last night after getting off work
early but instead stared at the TV and listen to the sirens go off
a dozen times over the course of a few hours... I think I'll
get my chance tonight though to create a little, I hope anyways!
Please pray for Bridge Creek, OK as they took a direct
hit. A friend from work's house got damaged and some family
friend's house was completely demolished...

On a more pleasant note... There is another Anything Goes challenge
up on the Party Time Tuesday's challenge page! Hope everyone
will come and play along with us this month!

Here is my creation:

Enabler's List:

Paper: Doodlebug - Happy Camper
Stamps: Verve Wonderful Marvelous
Ink: CTMH Chocolate, Lagoon, and Goldrush
Misc: Verve Starry Die, CTMH white enamel stars

Indie Polish Watch - Nail Hoot

Good morning friends! Hope y'all had a great Monday and are
having an even better Tuesday! As promised, I am back this morning
to share with y'all one of my new handmade favorite finds!
Be aware that this post is very picture heavy so grab a drink and keep scrolling!

Nail Hoot is a new handmade polish brand created by Brandie.
This first collection is five gorgeous colors called "The Beginning."
The prices are $6.25 per each full size bottle, $30 for all five in full size
bottles, and $21.25 for all five in mini bottles. At the moment I only own 3 of the 5
but I hope to get the other two here in the near future.

First up is Genesis which is a beautiful blue polish that shifts
to teal and green, and is full of gorgeous micro glitters. Here used 3 coats over
a base coat and topped with Sally Hansen miracle gel topcoat. I am also told it
looks great with 1 or 2 coats over a black base though I have not tried it yet.

(All photos of Genesis were taken utilizing my indoor photo booth)

Next up is Leviticus which is a beautiful sunset color. It's a burnt orange that shifts
to red and pink and has gorgeous micro glitters. Here I used 2 coats over
a base coat and topped with Sally Hansen miracle gel topcoat.

(indoor photo booth pictures)

(outdoor photos, indirect sunlight)

The third color I own is Deuteronomy which is a gorgeous purple that
shifts blue and has gorgeous micro glitter. I really adore this
one as purple polish is my favorite! Here I used two coats over a base
and topped with Sally Hansen miracle gel topcoat.

(indoor photo booth pictures)

(outside, direct sunlight)

The last two polishes in the collection (which I do not yet own) are
Exodus and Numbers. Exodus is an apple green color with hints of gold shimmer
while Numbers is a bright pink with blue undertones.

(Please note these are not my pictures, they are swatch
photos that belong to My Nail Polish Obsession)
