Mojo Monday #465

Good afternoon crafty friends! I hope y'all are having a great weekend! Well of y'all

haven't noticed, I've been MIA for a few weeks. We have gotten mostly moved

into our new house. I had been waiting to organize my new craftroom since there was

so much to do in the rest of the house that I didn't want to do it yet because then

I'd want to craft and then I'd feel guilty for not doing something more productive...

Well most of the house is about as done as it's going to get for the time being so I figured

it was time to start on my space! I put it together in two evenings after Elias went

down for the night. It's even bigger than I realized it was. I have so much open floor space

that I have no idea what to do with.. The room is at least 13x13, maybe 14x14.

It's actually the formal dining but this house has a very large and long living room that

has the perfect place for an 8 person dining table in it in front of a large window.

I was able to sit down and make a card to break in my new room while Elias was

taking a nap. I followed the current sketch from Mojo Monday. I am also entering this

 card into the current challenges over at Word Art Wednesday (anything goes),

Verve August Release Retrospective Hop

Welcome back to Day 4 of our Anni-VERVE-sary August Release Spotlight Hop! 
Today is the Retrospect Hop and Product Release!

It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! 2 beautiful new stamp sets,

To celebrate our new release, we're putting on another blog hop! Today's featured

For this first card I used a verse from Scripture Medley 4 with my CTMH paper and ink and due cut the stars using Verve's Starry die.

For my second card I used a wonderful quote from the Kindness Matters stamp set. I used a cute paper pack from Paper Studio and made a double loop black grosgrain bow with my Zutter bow-it-all.

For my final card I used a wonderful verse from the Potter's Clay stamp set as well as the flower from that set and coordinating Pottery die set. I embossed my flowers in gold and watercolored them with my CTMH ink. I used a retired CTMH paper for this card.

Mojo Monday #460

Good afternoon crafty friends and happy Friday! I hope y'all have fun weekends

in store! We were supposed to close on the new house yesterday (which was

the second reschedule) but a mess up on the paperwork has set it back to closing

hopefully on Monday. Third times the charm right? We're just ready to

get moving so we can get our current home on the market and hopefully sell

soon. Fortunately the houses in our neighborhood sell fairly quick so

it shouldn't take too long. Then we can really get into the remodel of the new place.

I'm not sure how much packing and moving help I'll be with a 3 month old.

I can maybe put him down for 2 or 3 hours a day. He usually doesn't nap longer

than 20-30 mins unless he's being held and he loves to be held! I'd 

assume just hire someone to pack it all up but I don't know how much that costs

and that'll take money out of my flooring budget. 

Anywho, before the little shorty waits up, which will be anytime soon since he's

been down 30 minutes, I wanted to share a quick card I whipped up

for the current Mojo Monday challenge. I will also share this on Wordart Wednesday.

Mojo Monday #456

Good evening friends and happy Saturday! I hope y'all are having a great

weekend so far! We are hopefully getting a new house soon! That's our weekend

news! We had the inspection and are waiting to hear what the owner

is willing to fix. One of the AC units is not working properly, it isn't cooling

down enough so it is staying on 24/7 to attempt to get to proper temperature so 

hopefully that is an inexpensive fix. He said depending on the price

of that will depend on what else he'll fix. There isn't a bunch that's terribly

pricey, just a bunch of little things. It's a 40 year old home so I figure it's all pretty

normal. We will also have to put in a water softener. It has some crazy

hard water. It needs a lot of updates but is in good shape over all so our plan is

to move in it as is and after we sell are current home, use the money

we get to start doing upgrades such as all new floors and kitchen and bathroom

remodels. I'm also getting a huge craftroom! Even bigger than my current 

one! It's actually a 12x14 dining room, but since the living room is so huge we

decided to incorporate a dining room in there so we'll put a door on

the opening from the living to my new craftroom so it'll just seem like an office.

Since we'll have so much work to start doing ya'll might not see me as much

for a few months. When we move in and until we sell the current house I'll be starting

to paint 2900 square feet of walls and trim during my free time. I will also

have about 1,000 cabinet doors to paint. I'm exaggerating of course, but this house

has so many little storage cabinets all over the place. Not to mention the kitchen 

cabinets and some awesome laundry room cabinets. Seriously the laundry

room has more countertop and cabinet space than most peoples kitchens. I have

no idea what I'll use it for. Hopefully nothing for a while! I don't want

to fill up all the wonderful storage space just yet!

Anyways. hubby is watching little man and gave me a bit of alone time this

 evening so I got caught up on some DT cards and figured I should get 

my weekly Mojo Monday card done and entered!

Mojo Monday #454

Happy Sunday afternoon crafty friends! I hope y'all are having a great weekend!

We spent last night at my parents house having a cookout, playing some

corn hole, and lighting off some little fireworks. We had a fun time! Little man

didn't seem to mind the fireworks. The ones he didn't like were ones

that had a high pitch, like a squeal. The big booms didn't bother him in the slightest.

He's been a bit grumpy the last few days. Eating more and wanting to be

held often so wondering if it's a growth spurt... That's why I haven't had a chance

to make any cards this week until today. He is sleeping soundly in his

Rock N Play next to my desk. I was able to get a card made for the current 

Mojo Monday challenge that I want to share with y'all!

Mojo Monday #453

Good morning crafty friends and happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having

a great weekend so far! We are going to a big sale and food truck party

out at local tree farm and nursery. We are planning to redo our front flowerbed.

We want to extend it and add a seating area as well as pull out the current

shrubbery and replace it prettier, easy maintenance shrubs and flowers. We sorta

have an idea of what we want so we are going to get an idea of the cost.

Before we get ready and head out I wanted to share a card I made last night.

I was sitting at my desk trying to think of what paper and stamps I wanted to use for

this Mojo Monday card and then it dawned on me that I should have gotten

my Verve Stamps order of their newest release so I went and checked the mail and

sure enough! There were my new shiny Verve's! So I made a card with them!

Good morning crafty friends and happy hump day! Hope everyone is enjoying

their week! Today my little man is 3 weeks old! Time is going by

fast already! He is definitely a growng boy! He is also starting to get a little

clingy. I have to wear him around a lot in my Boba wrap if I want to

get anything done. He just wants to be held most of the time. Fortunately he

goes down pretty well at night. Not as bad as during the day.

We have been taking walks when it isn't raining but I'm getting stir crazy.

Hi crafty friends! Remember me?! I know it has been ages! January I think since I last

posted! Well 11 days ago I gave birth to a handsome baby boy and even though 

I am sleep deprived, I feel oh so much better! My stomach waspretty messed up most of my pregnancy so I had zero desire to do any of the things I normally enjoy doing.

 It's crazy how quickly hormones change after giving birth!

Here is my sweet little man. His name is Elias. He was 6lbs 14oz and 18.5in

I decided to get a little crafty during one of his naps this morning. I followed the

current sketch from Mojo Monday and am also entering into the current

Diva Inspiration challenge over on the Verve blog.

Hubby and I are about to head out to go do a little hiking for the next

few days! Are plans for the weekend changed like 50 times over the last few

days because of potential rain and storms. We had originally planned

to camp but figured with potential storms that wasn't the best idea, so we found

somewhere that still had rooms available at a state park so we settled on that.

Mojo Monday #413

Good afternoon crafty friends! I hope y'all are having a great weekend! I hung 

out with a friend last night who was bored since her husband was out of

town and had no one to watch her kiddos so I went over to her house to hangout!

We had a great time chit chatting and watched a movie. I stayed out until after midnight

which for me never happens lol! I'm getting too old to stay up late. This morning I slept in 

and then did some crafting! Later this evening we are going out to dinner with some 

friends and then my hubby is taking me to go see his new office space that I can't 

wait to decorate if he lets me! Right now he has a folding table and chair in 

there which obviously won't do. He needs an nice, professional place to work outside the

house where he can have clients meet him instead of him always having to go to them

since he doesn't want to bring them home to his office. I've been on Craigslist looking

at some nice desks and credenza's which I think would work for him.
