Viva la Verve December card #3

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! We did Christmas yesterday
 with my husband's family! Before I head off to church I wanted to share
 the card I made using the third December sketch from Viva la Verve.
I am also entering this card into the current Verve Diva Dare my favorite things challenge.
 I used one of my favorite Verve stamp sets called Love Notes.

Mojo Monday #376

Good morning crafty friends! I am about to head out for an early morning

at work but wanted to share the card I made last night before

I go. I followed the current Mojo Monday sketch and am also entering

this card into the current Verve Diva Dare called My Favorite Things. I am

using one of my very favorite Verve stamp and die sets called Joyful Blooms.

Oh, I also got my new lights in the mail yesterday with lovely bright white

light bulbs! I'm still playing around with them trying to decide

what is the best placement for photographing my cards but right now

I'm just happy that I did no editing on these photos except adding

a watermark and cropping them down to a proper size.

Christmas party last night, had a great time with friends! I wanted

Sweet Sunday #248 and Verve Inspirations

Good morning crafty friends and happy Friday! I can't believe

we are only 2 week away from Christmas! Wow time really does fly!

I need to finish up my shopping asap! I usually try not to wait

so late but everyone has been so busy this year that wish lists were

a little late getting made and getting sent out. A great Christmas present

that is coming today is my FIL is getting his permanent spine simulator

put in! We are all so excited! He has had a lot of back problems

and a lot of surgeries but still in a lot of pain with meds not really helping.

Last month he had a trial simulator put in for a few days and he

said the relief was unbelievable, he felt like a normal person! So him

getting this permanent one is a real answer to all our prayers 

and really is the best gift we will get this year!

On another note, I want to share a Christmas card I made the other 

day following the current sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

before I head off to work this very early am. I have to be at work

December Verve Diva Dare

Good morning crafty friends! Hope y'all are having a great week so far!

Today is my half day at work so I don't have to go in until noon!

It's quite nice to be able to relax in the morning before and not have to

rush to get to work. A may even get the next couple Tuesday off!

The doctor I work for on Tuesdays is having surgery next week so I might

get s few extra Christmas shopping day! Whoop! I still have so much

left to do! Anyways, this morning I have been going through this

past years card creations using Verve products for this months

Verve Diva Dare entitled Favorite Things. We were dared to post some

of our favorite cards using Verve products, or cards using our 

favorite Verve product, or create a new card using a favorite product.

I had a very difficult time going through all my cards! It's really hard to

pick a favorite Verve product but I picked a few favorite stamp sets

them found my favorite cards using those stamp sets. My newest stamp

set from Verve, Love Notes, is also one of my favorites, but I'll be

posting plenty with this set over the next month so I didn't add it here.

Even if it did include taking my little cousin to the ER for

a bad stomach bug... He's feeling much better now!

Good morning crafty friends! Hope y'alls weekends are

off to a great start! I had some girlfriends over last night, it was

the first time for them to come over the new house!

It was fun! Tonight the hubby and I are going to my work party.

Good food and bowling at Redpin! I love that place!

Although I may be partial to it since I worked there, that job

got me through college! Anyways I made a card the

Watercolor Butterflies

Good afternoon crafty friends! Hope y'all are having a great

weekend so far! I decided that I wanted to try to get into a little

bit of painting for my cards. I went to Hobby Lobby and

bought this watercolor pigment set and used my 40% off coupon

so it was pretty inexpensive. I did some YouTube searching

for how to incorporate stamps into watercolor painting and I found

this awesome tutorial by Dawn of Wplus9 stamps. I just used 

a butterfly stamp I already had from a MFT butterfly stamp set.

I painted two butterflies and put them on cards. The first butterfly

I put on a card following the August week 2 sketch from Viva la Verve.

The second butterfly I put on a card following the current 

Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Good evening crafty friends! It is almost the weekend! Whoop!

Hope everyone has some crafty time planned! I think I will do a little

along with putting some hangin's on the walls to make this new

house look more like home! I also want to work in the flower bed if

it doesn't rain. This house was empty for quite a while before

we moved in so the outside has been a bit neglected.

Here is a card I made this evening following the current sketch from

Freshly Made Sketches. I am also entering this card into this month's

Verve Diva Dare which calls for a masculine themed card.
I am also entering this card into the current Nautical challenge over at
The Card Concept. For the style part of the challenge, I would consider
the style of this card to be a bit clean and layered. It seems at
first glance that there is a lot going on on this card because of the
different patterns of paper, but it really is quite a simple card.

Freshly Made Sketches and Verve Diva Dare

Good evening my crafty friends! Hope y'all are having a great

weekend! We finally got moved into the house yesterday 

so had our first night here last night. Unfortunately because of

the storms I didn't sleep well... Been trying to stay busy

today to keep from taking a nap. We still have some thing to get 

out of the shed and garage at the old house but have to 

wait a few days until the rain dies out to finish building the new shed.

Anyways I took a break from unpacking and decided to make

a shaker Father's day card for my daddy. I used the current

sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and am also entering my card

into this month's Verve Diva Dare which is called "A Man's World."

For this card the Timberline paper pack from Close To My Heart

along with some Kraft CS. The sentiment stamps are from Verve.

I stamped the sentiment in CTMH Twilight ink and also

inked the edges of the card and tag with a sponge in

CTMH Chocolate ink. I used two different sizes of Marvy tag punches

to do my shaker part. I used a bit of a clear acetate sheet and 

3D Foam Tape to finish off the shaker box. The sequins 

are from Hobby Lobby. for some added embellishments I used a

random assortment of twine and ribbon and some Triangle Studs.

CTMH Sarita and Mojo Monday

Good Saturday morning my crafty friends! Hope y'alls weekends are 

off to a great start! My BIL and niece are on their way over

to my house this morning! I can't wait to play with

my little Violet while my bro-in-law and hubby talk work projects.

I wanted to first share a card I made last night using the 

current sketch from Mojo Monday. I am also entering this card into
the current Verve stamps March Diva Dare which is to use polka dots.
My goldrush b&t paper has some nice large polka dots on it...
I am also entering this card into the current challenge over at
Heart 2 Heart which is to use 3 of something. I have used 3 patterned
papers and stamps from 3 different stamp sets.

For this card I used paper from the Sarita pack from Close To My Heart.

The background paper I embossed using the honeycomb folder

from Darice. The flower and leaves die and stamps are from Verve.

the sentiment is from the Mother's Day stamp set. I used

Exclusive Inks in Outdoor Denim, Lagoon, Gypsy, and Goldrush.

I used an Aqua Dot for the center of the flower.
